  • Where are you based?

We are based on our site on Abercorn Road, Queensferry EH52 6GB. The above address will take you directly to the chalet and our friendly staff. Just follow the clear signposts with our logo on them.

  • What should I wear?

Plan for the braw Scottish weather! We would advise during winter months to wrap up and wear sturdy clothing as the ground can be slippery underfoot. For Summer months please consider the weather. The field is open to the elements and some suncream and skin cover wouldn’t go amiss. Remember whatever you wear could get muddy during the games!

  • Can we dress up?

Of course, we love a laugh! If anything we encourage you to dress up the stag, hen or whole team as long as your costume choices can’t cause offense to any of the other teams. Remember - you won’t be alone on the field! We can also provide See You Jimmy bonnets for your team at an additional charge. You’ll be looking awfy bonny.

  • Is there food on site?

We do not have any cooking facilities onsite, however we can prearrange a BBQ for you and your friends prior to the event. There are also snacks available to purchase onsite.

  • Can I bring someone extra?

The more the merrier. We do appreciate things can change last minute however, if as much notice of an additional party member would be appreciated. Our team at Great Away Days will be able to take a payment onsite for any additional friend who have come along. We accept both cash and card payments.

  • Are there toilets on site?

We have portaloos onsite for guests to use as and when required.

  • What if the weather is bad? Will you cancel on me?

In beautiful Scotland the weather can change at moment’s notice. However, we will make every effort to deliver your event as planned. In the event of extreme weather that would impact health and safety or circumstances beyond our control, our event manager will make a judgement call on the day before or the day of the event and you will be updated accordingly.

  • Who do I contact if we are late or lost?

We have a dedicated team in the office who will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. Please call, 01738 505 722 on the day of your event and one of the team will be more than happy to help.

  • What about transport or transfers?

We can accommodate pre-approved transfers through our dedicated transfer team. However, if you wish to use another provider, please remember to book the return trip and remember to book in advance.

  • Can I leave my keys and wallet with you?

Of course you can. We have boxes which you can store any items you do not wish to take into the field with you. However, we do advise that you leave items at your own risk as they are not locked.

  • Can I take photos?

We insist! Take videos, photographs and reels to your hearts content. Our team will be more than happy  to take those all important group shots as well. Just remember to tag us in the final upload! #WeAreGreatAwayDays
